Chinese Name: 齐铁镞梅针箭头 (Qí Tiězǔ Méizhēn Jiàntóu)
Also known as: Iron-Tipped Plum Needle Arrowhead of Qi
Inspired by Qing Dynasty military craftsmanship, the Flat Plum Needle Arrowhead revives the form of the 梅针箭 (Plum Needle Arrow)—a key battlefield design used from the 17th to 19th centuries in both warfare and imperial hunts.
This model draws directly from an original artifact housed at the Palace Museum (故宫博物院) in Beijing. Historically classified as 针箭 (zhēnjiàn), or “needle arrow,” it reflects elite Qing arsenal standards documented in texts such as the Qinding Junqi Zeli and Huangchao Liqi Tushi.
Featuring a flat, elongated, chisel-like iron tip, the arrowhead was engineered to shear through chainmail and light armor with brute force rather than pierce—especially when loosed from a powerful Manchu war bow.
Known as 齐梅针箭 (Qi Plum Needle Arrow), this design embodies the balance of elegance and lethality—hallmarks of Manchu archery. The name “Qi” evokes both ancient regional identity and the Qing ideal of disciplined harmony.
Bring history to life with a weapon once carried by imperial warriors.
